181. Simply Put: LowSec Sucks - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Aurum Bellator on 24/05/2010 19:10:10 Originally by: Jekyl Eraser I just got an idea... Allow CONCORD at losec but only near stations and gates. Those who knew me in my previous life way back in 2003 - 2005 would ro...

182. Simply Put: LowSec Sucks - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If lowsec were worth living in rather than traveling through, pirates would get a run for their money. It wouldn't just be pimped out mission runners and travelers, people would have an incentive to actively battle the pirates lurking in lowsec . ...

183. Simply Put: LowSec Sucks - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The only way to really convert lowsec into a populated area is if people actually "live" there. To live somewhere in Eve, there needs to be industry and production. To have industry and production, there needs to be an incentive for industrialists...

184. 18 Accounts Closed - Here's Why - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Abbot Laarkin . . . Eve tends to attract those that take a long view of gaming and it's long-term appeal is higher than any game I've played because of this. Exactly right. If you want a game that gives instant rewards ...

185. Recommendation to Improve Lowsec (0.4 - 0.1) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Hirana Yoshida If you want low-sec to come to life it has to have inhabitants, not merely visitors and migrant workers (ratters, pirates, roamers, haulers). I agree and where does an empire space-dweller "inhabit"? Well,...

186. Recommendation to Improve Lowsec (0.4 - 0.1) - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I've seen many discussions concerning the "suckiness" of lowsec, 0.4 to 0.1 space. Most revolves around complaints about too many pirates, pvp, etc. However, there is one simple principle that can be applied to changing lowsec to make it more habi...

187. Simply Put: LowSec Sucks - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
My 2 cents . . . supply will always meet demand. Simply put, there isn't anything in lowsec worth enough to risk the pirates or organize a force to drive them out. Try adding crokite or spodumain in 0.3 systems and see what happens? Amp up mission...

189. Mission Risk vs. Reward Imbalance - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
The other option is to simply reduce the earning value of doing level 4 missions and increase level 5 missions and other activities - which appears to be the direction CCP is going. Same result, just makes it a little more comfy I suppose. Anyway ...

190. Mission Risk vs. Reward Imbalance - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I am a returning player (after a 5-year break) who played from launch until about mid-2005. Right now, as I skill up, I am running missions to earn money (don't like mining). I've noticed one major flaw in the current balance of professions and ba...

191. unable to download/ install client - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
I had the same issue downloading the client. My solution was to find a third party site offering the Eve client download. I can't remember which one I used but I found one and downloaded it without incident from a third party site (e.g., FilePlane...

192. CCP: please reconsider your attitude towards missionrunners - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Estel Arador You are right, CCP shouldn't do anything about the profitability of level 4 missions. All they should do is move all level 4 agents to low security. Agreed. The problem with the OP's argument is that he wan...
